The original brief called for one movie poster for Tribeca Film Festival 2011 and provided dates, credits, and the festival’s logo. I chose a moody animated short titled Just That Sort of a Day and stacked the typography to reflect the weight of the film. Recently, I expanded this into a typographic series, adding two female-directed films from Tribeca Film Festival 2016. For Adult Life Skills, I created icons representing all the expectations put on the main character. For All This Panic, I decided on swirls to represent the emotions eloquently expressed by young women in the film. All thought-provoking indie films, I chose tonal variations of the primary colors to reflect the series’ sentimental mood.
